Patna:Just days ahead of the first phase of polling, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched a scathing attack on the opposition, saying that the people of Bihar will no longer fall for false promises. He appealed to voters to stay alert from those who, in his words, “try to deceive young people with hollow talk of jobs and change.”Speaking through a social media address, Kumar reminded citizens that before 2005, Bihar was known for corruption, unemployment, and migration, but under his government, the state has witnessed a “remarkable transformation.”
Nitish stated,Everyone remembers what Bihar was like before 2005 — job seekers had to surrender land for employment, the administration was paralyzed, and youth were forced to leave the state in shame. We rebuilt Bihar with dignity and opportunity.”

8 Lakh Government Jobs and 50 Lakh Employment Opportunities

Highlighting his government’s performance, the Chief Minister claimed that over 8 lakh youth have been given government jobs since 2005, while several lakhs found employment through state-led initiatives.
He said that under the ‘Saat Nischay-2’ program launched in 2020, the goal was to create 10 lakh government jobs and 10 lakh private employment opportunities, and now around 50 lakh young people have benefitted in total.

Next Goal — 1 Crore Jobs by 2030

Kumar further announced that in the coming five years, his administration aims to create one crore new job and employment opportunities. New posts are being created across departments, and skill development programs are being expanded through technical institutes and industrial investment projects.

“Bihar Is Now Investor-Friendly”

Emphasizing the state’s improved infrastructure, Nitish said Bihar is now well-connected by road, rail, and air, with 24-hour electricity, better law and order, and a land bank in every district to help new industries set up easily.Bihar is emerging as a new hub for investment. Our double-engine government is accelerating development like never before.”

Contract Workers to Get Better Benefits

The Chief Minister also assured contract workers of improved service conditions — including extended retirement age, increased honorarium, and experience-based priority.
He said, “We are committed to bringing contract employees closer to the benefits enjoyed by permanent government staff.”

Youth and Sports Development

Nitish highlighted the establishment of the Bihar Youth Commission for the holistic growth of young people. He also mentioned that under the ‘Medal Lao, Naukri Pao’ (Win a Medal, Get a Job) scheme, 454 sportspersons have already been offered government jobs.In addition, a new Sports Scholarship Program has been launched to support talented players from rural and backward regions.

Direct Jibe at Opposition — “They Have No Policy, No Intention”

Taking a dig at his rivals, Nitish said,Once again, the same people are fooling the youth with false promises. They have neither policy nor intention. We do what we promise — and we will continue to deliver.”
