Samastipur Sets an Example of Peaceful Voting: Women Lead the Way Under Strong Supervision of DM and SP

In a shining display of democratic spirit, Samastipur district has created history with a record 71.73% voter turnout across its ten assembly constituencies. The elections were conducted smoothly under the efficient leadership of District Magistrate Roshan Kushwaha and the vigilant supervision of Superintendent of Police Dr. Shambhu Kumar, ensuring a peaceful and fair polling process.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, DM Roshan Kushwaha expressed pride over the overwhelming participation of voters, especially women. He noted that 77.42% of women and 66.79% of men cast their votes — a clear sign of growing awareness and empowerment among women in the district.

Constituency-wise, the highest turnouts were recorded in Ujiarpur (73.99%), Kalyanpur (73.68%), and Morwa (73.14%), while Rosera registered the lowest at 67.42%.

No untoward incident was reported from anywhere in the district, reflecting the tight security measures and public cooperation.
DM Kushwaha said, “Samastipur has once again proved that democracy flourishes when administration and citizens work hand in hand. This success belongs to every voter and every official who made this election a festival of peace and participation.”

He extended heartfelt thanks to all polling staff, security forces, administrative officers, and the SVEEP team for their dedication. SP Dr. Shambhu Kumar also commended the teamwork and discipline that kept the atmosphere calm and safe throughout the day.

Samastipur’s record turnout stands as a symbol of awareness, unity, and faith in democracy.
