As Bihar heads into the second phase of the 2025 Assembly elections on November 11, one question has dominated the political chatter — why haven’t Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar shared a stage this time? The Opposition turned it into a talking point, claiming BJP would dump Nitish after the polls. But NDA’s Bihar in-charge and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has finally broken the silence, and his words carry a message that cuts deeper than any rebuttal — Nitish Kumar is still the heart that keeps the NDA beating in Bihar. Pradhan, speaking to ANI, dismissed all speculation saying there is complete coordination between the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. “Before the election dates were announced, the PM visited Bihar seven to eight times for major government programs, and Nitish Kumar was present with him each time,” he said. He reminded that the formal campaign of the NDA began on October 24 from Samastipur with Modi, Nitish, Chirag Paswan, Upendra Kushwaha and senior leaders of both JDU and BJP together on one stage — proof that the alliance remains intact. Pradhan explained that due to Chhath festival and continuous rainfall, the campaign schedule was reshuffled but never weakened. “Every leader — the Prime Minister, Chief Minister, Home Minister, Defence Minister, and national president — had their own events across different regions. NDA rallies went on till late midnight,” he added. On Opposition claims that some voters were confused between the symbols ‘arrow’ and ‘lotus’, Pradhan struck back sharply, saying that NDA has fought elections together since 2005 — in every Assembly and Lok Sabha — and the people of Bihar know exactly who stands together for them. Political observers say Pradhan’s words were not just an answer to the Opposition but a quiet reminder to the BJP itself — that Bihar’s power structure cannot stand without Nitish Kumar’s balance. The message is unmistakable: Modi brings the national charisma, but Nitish brings the local credibility — and in Bihar, only both together make victory possible. Inside political circles, this statement is being read as a reaffirmation that the CM chair is not up for debate, and that the BJP understands the political truth of Bihar — that governance here runs not just on numbers, but on Nitish’s name. The Opposition’s narrative of cracks within the NDA has been effectively silenced. The signal from Patna is loud and clear — BJP may have the symbol, but Nitish has the soul of Bihar.
